Kismet Bikini

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Main: Essie - Bikini So Teeny, three coats
Accent: Color Club - Kismet, two coats
TC: Seche Vite

Apparently I have a thing with this color combination, hah. What can I say? They just seem to pair themselves while I'm choosing! :3 Aaaaand.. I know the picture below is definitely more in focus, but the one above is just better, okay? So it gets to be the first picture, the end. :P

Wrapped in Plastic

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: Hare Polish - Wrapped in Plastic, three coats
TC: Seche Vite

Oooh, light box! My mother-in-law, or "back-up mother," as she likes to be called, got me a light box for my birthday, just in time for the winter. Yesterday I waited a little too long to take pictures of my nails, and it was dark by the time I realized, but never fear! Light box to the rescue! It.. kind of highlights flaws in my application, doesn't it? XD Does it also make my hands look weird? Eh, oh well. I'm sure I'll get used to it. :P

Crystalized

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat

I generally forget how much I enjoy this polish. So soft and pretty!

Beguiling Mirrorball

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Main: Revlon - Beguile,  three coats
Accent: Orly - Mirrorball, three coats
TC: Seche Vite

This is my first time uploading an entry entirely from my phone! I'm on vacation for two weeks, so phone will be my only computer for a while. Hopefully it works!

I really only needed two coats of Beguile, but I've just taken to using three coats most of the time. *shrug* But Mirrorball definitely needed three to be opaque enough on its own. I had considered layering it over Beguile, but meh. Accent is fine for now. Maybe next time. :)

Wear: Removed on Day 7 with chips

Ocean Breeze

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: Revlon - Ocean Breeze, three coats
TC: Seche Vite

Oh, this color again! It's strange because I don't tend to enjoy metallics much, but this one is so bright and colorful.. it just calls to me. It's almost a green-blue duochrome, but it shows teal most of the time. In the picture below, you can ALMOST see the blue part of the shift.

Wear: Removed on Day 5 with some lifting

London

The Polish
BC: None
Color: Zoya - London, three coats
TC: None

Hey, remember that time that I super loved London? Yeah, that time has already passed. I don't know what happened. I keep finding that I don't enjoy all the things I used to love... :( I was trying to go through my stash and pull out everything I wanted to destash for the winter swap this year, but.. I don't think that's happening. I think I still need to pause because I'm not in the best place mentally for destashing. I'mma just stick with the ones I'm already super enjoying these days. So be prepared for some more swatches of things you've already seen recently! :P

Celestial HD

The Polish
BC: Nailtiques - Formula 2
Main: Nail Fantasies - Celestial, two coats
Topper: Milani - HD, one coat
TC: Seche Vite

Anyone remember how I said toppers look dumb? Like you had a perfectly good mani but then covered it with garbage? I think that's how I feel about this, but... I'm not actually sure.

Celestial is an old Nail Fantasies I got from the summer local swap. It's old, but it's still got a great formula. It must have been expertly thinned before it ended up in my hands. It's a navy with stunning blue flash. I really like it... but do I love it? Enough to take it out of purgatory? I.. don't think so just yet. It'll go back until I wear it another time to make sure.

And of course I love HD, but.. as a topper over a dark color? I hadn't tried that before. At first I thought I hated it, but I think it's growing on me. I still prefer it on its own or over lighter colors, but this isn't so bad!

Wear: Started to lift on Day 3, removed on Day 4

Special Snowflake

The Polish
BC: Nailtiques - Formula 2
Color: Maya Cosmetics - Special Snowflake, three coats
TC: Seche Vite

Hmm... I'm not quite sure what it is.. This used to be one of my very favorite polishes. I wonder why I'm not completely feeling it this time around. Perhaps because it needs a little thinning? I dunno.. I'mma put it back in the box and decide on it later.

Wear: Removed on Day 3 after a little stress picking

Mystical

The Polish
BC: Nailtiques - Formula 2
Color: Revlon - Mystical, two coats
TC: Seche Vite

Okay, turns out this one DOES need three coats. Meh. I was in a hurry. Still looked lovely inside. :P

Where Oh Werewolf

The Polish
BC: Nailtiques - Formula 2
Color: Sinful Colors - Where Oh Werewolf, two coats
TC: Seche Vite

Where Oh Werewolf, a nice grey creme with silver shimmer, is my pick from the 2016 Halloween collection!

Wear: Removed on Day 3 with slight lifting so that I wouldn't anxiety pick at it

Moon Glow

The Polish
BC: Nailtiques - Formula 2
Color: Lilypad Lacquer - Moon Glow, three coats
TC: Seche Vite

I'm on a low-buy these days, but when I saw this on a blog sale, I HAD to have it. Look at that soft, gentle green holo.. *swoon*

And it shines blue in normal lighting! Aaah.. so peaceful! <3

Edit: One more because it was so pretty while I was walking outside! You can see the blue in this shot better! <3

Wear: Wore it camping, so removed on day Day 7 looking.. well, like I went camping and used my hands a lot.

One-by-one Stash Sorting

Oh my gosh, Holly!! What happened to your stash!? Were you robbed!? :o

No no, guys, it's okay. It's all still right here, see?

Recently I've been dealing with some stress, and coupled with the extra humidity around my parts lately, I've been having a real difficult time with polish. I put on three different manis in a row, one after the other, for three days, hating ALL of them.

"WHAT DO I EVEN LIKE ANYMORE~!?" I found myself asking. "I really thought I liked this one.." I said about polishes I've had for years.

Finally, in almost an act of desperation, I scooped everything off my shelves and put them into purgatory-land box. They're not going away yet, until I try them on, one by one, and decide how much I enjoy them and put them back on the shelves. So far I have a handful that I've worn very recently and specifically remember thoroughly enjoying. So eventually I'll get through all of them and be left with only my favorites. For sure this time! <3

Lunar Glow

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: Northern Star - Lunar Glow, two coats
TC: Seche Vite

I haven't worn Lunar Glow in a while because I didn't actually like wearing darker shades until recently. I was a little sad to see that the holo had sunken in the bottle and didn't recover upon shaking, but it applied just fine. Good to know! I definitely don't need Color Club's Crystal Baller because I have this one.

Wear: Removed on Day 4 with some chipping.

Altruism

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: Mentality - Altruism, three coats
TC: Seche Vite

I really do love this polish. Three easy coats and such a delicate, soft-grey holo with purple-pink shift. I was having a tough day, and Altruism made it better. Thank you. <3

Wear: Removed on Day 5 with some lifting

Serene Sky

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: The Polish Bar - Serene Sky, two coats
TC: Seche Vite

I don't wear Serene Sky very often because Summer Skies is right next to it.. and blue will always win against purple! But with that in mind, I made a conscious decision to put this on today.

She really is a nice, soft, pastel, greyed-lilac, isn't she?

Wear: Removed on Day 6 with some lifting

Unemotional Jerk

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: Native War Paints - Unemotional Jerk, two coats
TC: None

With the coming fall season, I've been wanting a nice, deep brown, but.. I don't think this is it. Unemotional Jerk is.. kind of yellow-leaning? Maybe gold-leaning? In a way that doesn't work for me, I think. Or maybe it's somehow that holo microglitter again. Meh. Anyway, I have a friend that I think will love this more than I do. Purge.

Wear: Removed on Day 4 with a little chipping and a place where a peelie peeled off. But no anxiety picking!

New-Fallen Snow

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: LynBDesigns - New-Fallen Snow, two coats
TC: None

Ugh, another streaky white. I'm about done trying with these. They look so pretty in the bottle but just don't play nicely with me. At least I got this in the local swap and didn't pay for it. Meh.. Purge.

Wear: Removed immediately

Trenzalore's Mirrorball

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Main: Ellagee - Trenzalore, three coats
Accent: Orly - Mirrorball, three coats
TC: Seche Vite

Aaaah, I love these two. <3 I stress-picked at my polish, so I removed the rest of it and put this on to help me feel better. It worked. Here it is in the evening light.

Wear: Removed on Day 5 after some anxiety picking on Day 4. I REALLY need to get that under control...

Wrapped in Azucar Wool

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: Model City - Wrapped in Wool, two coats
TC: Seche Vite
Topper: Silly Bee's Chickadees - Azucar, one coat added a couple hours later
TC: American Classics - Gelous

Well, this is cute! I guess Wrapped in Wool is okay. It's no Feeling Gloomy, but I like it topped with Azucar. (It reminds me, strangely enough, of a mani with ANOTHER Fancy Gloss which I did NOT so much enjoy.) What I'm learning is that I just DON'T really like little, sparse, holo glitters. *shrug* Here's Wrapped in Wool on its own. Kinda cute, right?

And here, have a live swatch, too.

Wear: Removed on Day 3 with some anxiety picking at a very small amount of lifting

Beguile

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: Revlon - Beguile (Brilliant Strength line), two coats
TC: Seche Vite

What a cute dark polish! Beguile reminds me of Sea Escape, an ELF polish I wore and adored recently, but it's definitely blue. To my eye, Beguile is a deep blue with teal shimmer. It really probably needs three coats, but I layered my second coat on pretty thick. So pretty!

Wear: Removed on Day 5 with some lifting on Day 4. Stained a little, especially on removing.

Spellbound

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Polish: Glam Polish - Spellbound, two coats
Glitter Smoother: American Classics - Gelous, one coat
TC: Seche Vite

Oh gosh, I adore this color! <3 Irl, it's less purple than the photos show.. it's definitely just a soft blue. Also, I think this is the first time I've worn it with Gelous, and it DOES seem to help the hungry glitters a lot. Yay!

Also, check it out! Things my nails match: my bedroom wall paint in indoor lighting. XD

Wear: Removed on Day 4 with some slight lifting, exacerbated by my anxiety picking :/

Pink Sugar

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Main: Sinful Colors - Glass Pink, two scoats
Topper: Indecisive Lacquer - Sugar, one coat
TC: Seche Vite

Something simple and delicate to wear during an extended weekend vacation. I couldn't decide which one, so I picked both!

I thought at first that the Glass Pink didn't seem to add much, but in just the right light, it DOES look more pink than usual. Super cute. <3

Wear: Some slight lifting starting on Day 4, was able to leave it until the morning of Day 6! Go me!

Challenger

The Polish
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: Different Dimension - Challenger, three coats
TC: Seche Vite

A multichrome today, so apologies in advance for many pictures.

Challenger, which is from a set all named for spacecraft!, is a green/gold-to-red/purple-to-brown multichrome with holo glitter and glass flecks. How's that for a description?

I can't quite decide if I like it or not. It's not really a color I would normally pick up, but it IS pretty.. The red/purple isn't very apparent in most lights. Most of the time it just appears to be a glittery dark brown.

But maybe it looks a little messy? We'll keep it on for a while and see what I think.

Hey~! I finally got the green to show in the car! You can see some glass flecks in this one, too.

Wear: Removed on Day 2 with the decision... to purge. Honestly, I probably would have preferred it without the glitter, just as a multichrome creme. *shrug* Hopefully someone else will like it.
