The Polish:
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: The Devil Wears Polish - Suck My Peach, two coats
TC: Seche Vite
Well, nudes certainly aren't hitting my latest need for color, but at least she's holo! Suck My Peach might be my least favorite holo, but it's still a holo nonetheless. And the formula is good, so there's that!

A Robin's Egg Amongst the Sparkling Sheen
The Polish:
BC: CND - Stickey
Undies: Sally Hansen - Drama Sheen (Triple Shine line), one coat
Topper: Orly - Sparkling Garbage, two coats
Accent: Robin's Egg, a franken, two coats
TC: Seche Vite
I knew I wanted to wear Robin's Egg today because I hadn't worn it in a long time, but not as a whole mani because it's, like, the epitome of a creme, and I don't like wearing cremes. So I knew it had to be as an accent. The only question was, for what?
I was considering Drama Sheen because it was an untried, but I had a craving for Sparkling Garbage. No, Holly, stick to your little stash, I told myself. You made it for a reason. Don't start digging into your main stash again yet. Stick with Drama Sheen.
One coat in, though, and I wasn't sold. Drama Sheen is definitely a topper, not something I can wear on its own. And I don't like toppers. I don't even like purple. Sparkling Garbage it is!
I was feeling lazy, though, and didn't want to go through the trouble of removing, oiling back up, and reapplying base coat, so I decided to just put the Sparkling Garbage over top. The result is somehow oddly satisfying! I can see the purple sheen under the green scattered holo, and it's actually totally fine! The accent doesn't go with it anymore, but whatever!
Wear: Removed on day four with minor chips. I decided I loved SG over the sheer purple, so I'm debating what else I could do with the scattered-holo-over-sheer-color combo. In fact, I have a scattered holo as a mini! Should I put it over Cinderella? My jellied Dandy Lyin' Around? It's exciting! :D But as for Drama Sheen? I don't love it, was just inspired by it, so out it goes.

Sing You Like a Bee
The Polish:
BC: None
Color: Nicole by OPI - Sing You Like a Bee, three coats
TC: None
Oh man, this one has been on my wish list since it came out! I finally found it at TJ Maxx.
White Cap's textured sister, Sing You Like a Bee is definitely more gold shimmer than the white it appears in the bottle. It's also a little sheer and patchy. I needed three coats to make it look nice.
I wasn't sure if I would actually enjoy it when I put it on. It wasn't as bad as I Lilac Gumdrops, but.. well, gold, you know? But the shimmer really is cute, so I decided to keep it.
It was also difficult to get a good picture of the color, so here are five good attempts instead! I know that's more than I normally have per post, but oh well.

I Lilac Gumdrops
The Polish:
BC: None
Color: Nicole by OPI - I Lilac Gumdrops (Gumdrops line), three coats
TC: None
Uh... I'm not so sure about this, you guys. Purple? Really? I'm not much of a purple person, even as far as clothing is concerned. I like purples, especially blue-leaning ones and soft pastel-y ones... but... I'm just not so sure about this, you guys. I don't know if this particular color goes with my skin tone... not that that's bothered me in the past, but...
It didn't even have that great of a formula. It's way thinner than any other texture I've worn, and I had to layer three coats to hide the nail line. Huh.
Well.. I guess I'll keep it on for a few days and decide what I think after that. Who knows? It may just grow on me?
Wear: Removed on day four with minor tipwear. Decided not to keep it after all,

Absynthe Makes My Clothes Fall Off
The Polish:
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: The Devil Wears Polish - Absynthe Makes My Clothes Fall Off, two coats
TC: Seche Vite
It's been a tough week for me. I've been in a polish rut for a while, anyway, but then a week of depression and anxiety on top of that? Bleh. It's sunny out, and it's time for some holo!
Not only are holos pretty and shiny and happy making, but they also have an amazing formula, in my experience. Well, at least mine do. I've heard that early holos are finicky, but thankfully, I came to the party at a good time. The holo with least best formula I have is Lunar Glow, and even that one's fine.
Isn't it pretty~? Such a nice teal-ish blue color <3

Fairy's Calla Lily
The Polish:
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Main: Revlon - Calla Lily (ColorStay line), two coats
Glitter: China Glaze - Fairy Dust, one coat
TC: Seche Vite
Man.. Calla Lily is one of my favorite polishes.. so much so that I even bought a back up of it. So why am I just not feeling it today? It seems impossibly sheer, something I normally love, and boring. I must be in so much of a funk that even one of my favorites can't pull me out. Meh. I doubt I'll keep this on long. I need something bright.

Balloons in the Sky
The Polish:
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: Balloons in the Sky, a franken, two coats using the matte technique
TC: Seche Vite
Matte: China Glaze - Matte Magic
Hmm... this one... I'm still not quite sure what to do with it. Its formula is poor, but I DID manage to get it on nicely using the matte technique (one coat, then a coat of matte before the next layer). Still a little bumpy and patchy, as you can see. I just don't know, guys. I could also just wear Special Snowflake or something.

Solitary Again
The Polish:
BC: None
Color: OPI - Solitaire (Liquid Sands line), 2 coats
TC: None
Busy week, no time to do nails? Looks like it's time for a texture polish again. Maybe eventually I'll use up one of these minis.
I feel like I've done a better job on application with this one this time. The other times I've worn Solitaire, I felt like I couldn't really get it to look nice, but this time, I find myself continually admiring my nails... :)
This swatch maybe isn't the best because it's picking up the blue from my shirt instead of showing off its true white-ness, but all of the direct sun photos gave me lobster claws. Meh. So this'll do.
Wear: Seven days, wore like iron. Minor chips on day five, but nothing too noticeable until day seven.

Serene Sky
The Polish:
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: The Polish Bar - Serene Sky, two coats
TC: Seche Vite
Oh, so pretty, this color! Such a soft, delicate lavender and gorgeous linear holo. Love!
Ignore the mess on my ring finger. I scratched my nail on my desk at work yesterday. I should have buffed it out before I painted over it, but it totally slipped my mind. Live and learn.
Wear: Four days to slight peels. Minor tip wear happened on day two because I always forget to wrap my tips.

Hallucinating Raindrops
The Polish:
BC: CND - Stickey
Color: Hallucinating Raindrops, a franken, two coats
TC: Seche Vite
Hallucinating Raindrops is sooo beautiful in the bottle. It always calls to me. I think I very nearly have it where I want it now, after having played with it a lot. I think it probably even started out as my first franken. I have it super jelly-y pale grey now with lots of glitter. Still not as pretty on the nail as it is in the bottle, but that's okay. Plus I've decanted it into a Megalast bottle, which is always awesome.

Hi Iridescent
The Polish:
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: Essie - Hi Maintenance, two coats
Accent: Sally Girl - unnamed iridescent glitter, one coat over the Essie
TC: Seche Vite
Hi Maintenance has such a nice formula. So nice that it amazes me every time I put it on. It's not streaky at all, self-leveling to a T, and super glossy. It's practically a dupe for OPI's You Callin' Me a Lyre? It's just strange because every other Essie I've tried hates me. *shrug*
I AM getting a little tired of these light pink manis for a while, though. I'mma leave them for a while after this, I think. Get some more color in here and play around with layering.

CC Kismet
The Polish:
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Polish: Color Club - Kismet, two coats
TC: Seche Vite
Kismet is a gorgeous green-leaning gold with a strong linear holo. The formula is just right with perfect consistency, though in normal/dim lighting, it appears a little patchy, like two coats isn't enough. It's pretty similar to the Urban Outfitters holo I have, and I think I remember someone saying once that they may be made by the same company.
I'd been hearing for the longest time about how Color Club holos are the best holos, so when I got a swap offer from someone with Kismet, I didn't hesitate to get it. Gold isn't typically my color, but it's such a great polish that that doesn't even matter.

Solitaire or Social?
The Polish:
BC: CND - Stickey
Main: Sally Hansen - Social Sea-n (Diamond Strength line), two coats
Accent: OPI - Solitaire (Liquid Sand line), two coats
TC: Seche Vite
Huh. I'm... not quite sure what to think of this one. It would make a lovely shirt.. but I'm not positive that I like it as a polish. It's a pretty, shimmery, sheer blue, which sounds right up my alley, but it's also got a touch of metallic in its finish. I dunno...
But I've been depressed lately and have hated anything and everything on my nails. I've been overly critical of my application and photography skills (these pictures just make me kinda sad). I may need to take a break from my tiny stash and put on a good favorite I know I can count on. For now, Social Sea-n stays.
Wear: Chips on day three, but couldn't remove until day four.

Bait Me, Princess
The Polish:
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: Sally Hansen - Bait Me (Triple Shine line), two coats
Glitter Accent: Liquid Sky Lacquer - Ice Princess, one coat
TC: Seche Vite
What? A pearl? Why would I even purchase another pearl? Because it was on sale for $1.30 at Ulta. I figured that was cheap enough to experiment. It wasn't awful, but like I expected, it went straight into the swap box after I put it on. I just don't do pearls.
Ice Princess, on the other hand, is super adorable. I really should have put it over all nails, but I wanted to leave some of Bait Me plain to convince myself that I really didn't need it. I'll layer Princess over more things soon enough.

Sheer, lovely Shimmering Sands. I wanted something else with it, and I don't use Fairy Dust much, so I decided to go with it.
I think it's actually because I don't really like Fairy Dust all that much. I know, I know--heresy. It's fine, really, but the tiny holo glitters only show up in a particular light, and they NEVER show up on pictures. Meh. Whatever.

The Polish:
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Main: The Devil Wears Polish - Suck My Peach, two coats
Accent: Essie - Hi Maintenance, two coats
Accent Glitter: China Glaze - Fairy Dust, one coat
TC: Seche Vite
This is about as Valentine's-y as it gets, up in here. I don't really do holidays, but when I'm trying to decide what to wear, sometimes peer pressure is easy to fall victim to. So here's a nude holo and a sheer pink with Fairy Dust. There. I did it. :P
Even pretty in the shade! Although you can tell where my accent nail got a bit smudged. Oh well.
Wear: Five days to very minor peels. After last mani when I noticed peels were actually removing the top layer of nail, I removed as soon as I noticed the first peel with this one.

New Year's Resolution Organization
Remember how my New Year's Resolution this year is to use up some minis and play with my frankens more? Well, check out what I did to help me with that:
The other side of the closet still has all my indies and nicer polishes on it, but this side, I cleaned out the shelf and put all of those drugstore polishes off to the side, covering them up (yes, with a tissue) so that I couldn't see or think about them.
These are the only polishes I'm gonna allow myself to use for a while. It's like I'm pretending to have a tiny stash! :D
Bottom shelf is all the minis.
Next up are frankens.
Third shelf are full sized bottles I have back ups of, so I can still use those, too.
Fourth shelf are untrieds, which I can use once and then add to the rest of the stash.
And fifth shelf, of course, are treatments, oils, base, and top coats.
I'm excited! :3

Summer Seas
The Polish:
BC: Revlon - ColorStay Base Coat
Color: The Polish Bar - Summer Seas, two coats
TC: Seche Vite
Summer Seas is a gorgeous, dusty cornflower blue creme. It has a very faint holo that I could hardly get to show up in general, let alone in pictures. It doesn't matter too much, though, because it's suuuuch a pretty color, oh my goodness, and the faint holo provides just a little bit of speckle-y shimmer.
The formula is a tad on the thick side, as cremes are wont to be, hence the poor application. I may try to thin it before I use it next. It's totally worth it, though. That color..! Even though it looks a little lobstery on me, still love it.
Wear: Five days. Minor tipwear starting on day two because I wasn't smart enough to wrap my tips. Minor chips on day four, but still nothing too noticeable. Peels on day five.

Blueberry Still Sweet on You
The Polish:
BC: None
Color: Nicole by OPI - Blueberry Sweet on You, two coats
TC: None
I ran out of time to do my nails before a weekend trip and needed something I could do in 20 minutes (thus, texture) at the airport (thus, something I wouldn't care about if it got confiscated by TSA).
I'm trying to use this polish up, so I wear it a lot on my toes, and I've worn it frequently on my hands a lot, too. It's actually kind of becoming a signature color because of how much I use it, which wasn't intentional, but it's fine.
Wear: Seven days, though I shouldn't have left it on that long. Slight wear on day five, noticeable on day six. Shh.. I was busy.. >.>

Give Me Iridescent, Now!
The Polish:
BC: CND - Stickey
Jelly for sandwich: Essence - Give Me Nude, Now!, one coat on either side of glitter
Glitter: Sally Girl - unnamed iridescent glitter, one coat
TC: Seche Vite
I got this Essence at an Ulta sale for fifty cents because I couldn't pass it up. I expected to just swatch it and throw it immediately in the swap box, but it's actually pretty nice. It's like Essence's version of 2% Milk.
I also expected to just put the glitter over the Essence and then matte it, but it was a lot more jelly-ish than I thought it would be, so I couldn't help but sandwich it.
Wear: Removed on day three.
